My experience Using AI for AI seminar.

Context

Long story short, I have opportunity to join AI seminar in topic “AI Recent and Future Evolution” by Prof. Benjamin van Roy at Stock Exchange of Thailand.

When I arrive at SET first, I talk to my friends about project that we are doing and How Generative AI have made many services possible which make generative AI hackathon that I applied really hard to really hard to make Idea that is not already exist and easy enough to do by 19 years old boy. and in the end, we did not submit anything.

after I talk with my friend for a while, Prof. Benjamin has arrived, and I just have a funny thought what if I use full AI to take note about this seminar. and I execute it right away.

Methodology

I am notion user. and I notice that It have AI feature and I decide to use this seminar to test its potential. and I use Speech to Text (STT) in apple’s keyboard to record the speech because I too lazy to type, my word per minutes is like 60. and lastly, it more interesting to know If this can be done by only AI.

Result

I have to admit that the accuracy of apple’s STT is great but if your internet connect ion is not that fast there will be delay of requesting API which sometime make its performance drop. and also, there are some words that model can’t recognize. which… make it think that it may be a Person name and make the paragraph I got not readable lol.

Result after I put STT texts To notions AI

but when I input all text that STT able to capture to notion’s summarization AI It able to make clear and concise conclusion for this seminar. even the data is very noisy and mostly not readable which very impressive. and this prove that we can actually focus only on listening to speaker and leave note taking task to the AI.

Caution

• It is working yes but it consumes energy at high rate. so be careful.
• Quality of the microphone may affect the performance of the AI (I use default iPad’s internal microphone)
